So next week we are going out on tour with John Nolan of Straylight Run. It’s gonna be a lot of fun, and we’re gonna be playing as his band for some of it. This is one of his new solo songs. its really cool and not what i was expecting at all.
Come out and say hey, and reblog this post if you’re feeling especially helpful. We’re hitting some awesome/hilarious venues we’ve played before, plus some new treats. Should rule.

louisville show july 19, kickin off the sweet ol’ tour with john nolan.

so unfortunately we wont be playing the rest of the dates on the backseat goodbye/breathe electric/october nites tour. we are very sad about it cause the other bands were all really good dudes and good bands, and we were having a lot of fun. basically it all comes down to money, which is lame. it is a long way down to texas, and no matter how we crunched the numbers, it just wasn’t reasonable for us to drive down there for not many shows (a couple of night the rest of the bands were on shows that we werent on, there were a few days off, etc). obviously we aren’t playing music just to make money (obvious because we’re not making any), but we cant afford to be losing money either.
in july we are going on tour with john nolan from straylight run, and that is gonna rule. that tour doesnt go through texas and oklahoma, but i’m sure we will be back asap in the fall. i know its super lame to be talking so much about money, but i would rather give an honest reason for us dropping off the tour than a lame super-vague one. i hope the other bands have a real good time and drink some beers for us. we will miss them.
oh and on the way home i listened to the october nites EP and the upcoming breathe electric one, both are fucking great.
tour tour tour
ok on saturday we leave to start this tour thing. you know that thing where you go and play shows and sleep on floors and stop bathing. its gonna be a sweet time and its with backseat goodbye, breathe electric, and october nites. we’re bringing a bball, some peanuts butter, and i heard sal is bringing at least one drumstick. here are the dates, if we’re anywhere near you please come out and if we’ve met before, then please let us stay with you i promise we will be clean and leave when you need to go to work in the morning and we can do your dishes and other chores. oh and if we havent met before but you like our songs and dont wear a captain kirk mask spraypainted white (halloween reference) and dont live with your parents or live with really cool parents who arent weirded out by total sketchballs invading their loving home, then please let us stay with you etc.

Tour Update
i figured i’d give yall an update of a sweet show we played the other day in san diego, hometown of tha weatherbox. it was sponsored by amp energy drink, which was awesome, cause they showed up with tons of free amp and other goodies.

it was our first full band show in like a week, and our first ever as the weatherbox backin band, so we had plenty of nerves. im not sure if the caffeine from the amp helped or hurt, but it was free and ruled. when we played they put a bunch of cases in front of the stage, and it was hilarious as people grabbed freebies.

the show went great and the crowd was real cool, and i between my clogged sinuses and drinking like 3 amps, i felt weirdly drunk without having any alcohol. it was weird. we listened to tons of r.kelly on the drive home, and it was fantastic. then we slept at brian’s house and ate french toast. tour is going well. amp.
